Quintum hardware
FXS gateways
FXS gateways are used to convert standard analogue telephones into VoIP phones.
They are typically used in call shops.
Some gateways can also support pre-paid calling card applications through DUAL Talk.
In this mode, a caller is prompted for a card number and PIN. You are able to
generate rechargeable calling cards through DUAL Talk's reseller programme. To work
as a calling card gateway, gateways must have a fixed public IP address. We offer
the following hardware and calling packages based on Quintum analogue gateways and the
DUAL Talk calling service.
MultiPath switches
MultiPath is a Quintum technology that adds VoIP capability to an existing PBX
installation without requiring any reconfiguration of the PBX and provides an ideal
solution for the corporate environment. The MultiPath switch is cabled between the
existing PBX and the existing telephone lines. The switch makes routing decisions
based on the numbers dialled and either sends the calls to DUAL Talk or to the analogue
telephone lines. Incoming calls on the existing telephone lines are routed directly
to the PBX.
FXO gateways
FXO gateways are connected to analogue telephone lines and offer an interface between
those telephone lines and DUAL Talk. They enable you to offer a local calling card
service in your area. Your callers will dial the telephone number of the lines you
have connected to the gateway and will be prompted to enter their card number and PIN.
You can create rechargeable calling cards using the online tools offered through
our reseller programme. To work in this way, the Quintum gateway must have a fixed
public IP address, or access to such an address through NAT.
All of the gateways we supply come as part of a package that includes the gateway,
cables, initial configuration to DUAL Talk and some DUAL Talk calling time. Please click here for more information.

About DUAL Talk
We send all traffic to international carriers
through TDM links. In the event of an individual call failing, we automatically
reroute that call to multiple carriers until the call connects. This takes
place in real time while your caller is waiting to be connected. These
features ensure good voice quality and high route availability for your customers.
We own and manage all VoIP gateways and switches on
our network. Our equipment is installed in two different secure data centres for
redundancy. The IP network is fully switched, with multiple redundant routers and
multiple connections to different ISPs. This enables us to provide a very high
degree of service availability.
We provide fast technical support through our team
of experienced and capable telecommunication engineers, who share your passion for the
industry.
We are based in London, and are a division of
Westbay Engineers Ltd., which has been providing software and consulting services since
1989. We have been offering VoIP services since 2003.
