Inter-nodal routing

Print this Topic Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

By default, Westplan assumes that calls will be routed through a network using the shortest number of hops. By clicking on the Routing Query tab, the assumed routing between any two nodes can be displayed as an animated highlighting of the calculated routing.

The route through the network between the first and second nodes will be indicated by an

animated highlighting of the links through which the calls will be routing.  Westplan uses this

routing when analysing the current network.

If this routing is not appropriate, then new routes can be defined for carrying traffic between two nodes. These non-standard routes are defined using the Routing Set tab, and can be displayed in a report using the Routing Report tab.
