Opening a network

The way in which networks are selected depends upon the visual mode selected for Westplan.  Once a network has been selected, a drawing will appear in the workspace showing that network's entry configuration - ie. the network as you entered it rather than as Westplan optimised it.

Outlook mode

In Outlook Mode, each horizontal bar on the left side of the main window represents a project.  Clicking on a project's bar reveals a list of icons representing the networks owned by that project.  To open a network, click on its corresponding icon.

Explorer mode

In this view, all projects and networks are shown in a tree structure on the left side of the main window.  To open a project, click on the icon in the tree structure represting that icon.

The main elements of a network drawing are the project's nodes and these are shown as icons.  Each network drawing in a project will have the same icons in the same positions.  These icons can be connected with lines which represent telecommunications links.  The placement of these links can be different for each of a project's networks.
