Westplan

Print this Topic Return to chapter overviewNext page

Westplan is a voice network modelling tool that can help you to design economical enterprise or carrier voice networks.  Westplan allows you to try out different networking schemes between your nodes and to investigate the effects of failures of any of your network's transmission facilities.

In addition to supporting traditional circuit switched technologies, Westplan supports the design of voice networks which use IP as their transmission medium, either through a privately managed IP network or the public Internet.
